Nestled in the hills of Le Perche close to Mortagne-au- Perche, Une Ferme du Perche is a small organic farm with a big mission: to bring people together over the best of local, seasonal produce.

Every Wednesday afternoon from 5 PM to 9 PM (July through August), their market, Les Mercredis Fermiers, springs to life by the farm’s tranquil pond. Here, you’ll find everything from their famous organic vegetables, over 200 varieties, to artisanal bread, cheese, cider, and more, all crafted by passionate local producers.

On sunny days, it’s a dreamy spot to linger with a glass of wine and a baquette avec saucisse, soaking in the sun and the buzz of visitors chatting over shared tables. But if rain rolls in, the market simply moves into the barn (smaller version), where the warmth of the crowd and the scent of fresh produce make the experience just as cozy.

It’s more than a market, it’s a weekly celebration of community, sustainability, and the simple joys of good food in good company. While the market draws a mix of some locals and more Parisian visitors, some of whom arrive in sleek cars, eager for a taste of authentic countryside life, the vibe remains unshaken. We come here in the summer and enjoy it every time.
